Small Engine Repair: Using a Harbor Freight Leak-Down Tester on a Briggs & Stratton Engine
Small Engine Repair: Using a Harbor Freight Leak-Down Tester on a Briggs & Stratton Engine
**Always follow the instructions in your repair manual when doing repair or maintenance work on Outdoor Power Equipment. Manuals can be found at the manufacturers website.** This video is about how to use a Harbor Freight Leak-Down Tester on a small engine. I wasn't able to get the tester to work correctly using the instructions provided with the tester, so I made one change, and the tester seems to work correctly. The instructions say to connect the tester to the engine before you apply compressed air and adjust the regulator, but it didn't seem to work correctly, so I applied the compressed and adjusted the regulator before connecting the tester to the engine. This correction made the difference, and I was able to use the tester to determine the condition of the engine. It would be interesting to hear about other experiences with this tester, so please leave a comment, and thanks for watching.

Harbor Freight Multi-Tool
Harbor Freight Multi-Tool
Harbor Freight Variable Speed Multi-Tool. Purchased for $59.99. Its a pretty heavy unit, comfortable in hand. A soft start variable speed motor was a pleasant surprise. Normally, you'd pay a lot for a soft start motor on my brand name tools. I couldn't afford the Fein, which looks like a great tool. Need to find out if Fein or other manufacturer's attachments will work on this unit. Comes with case, sanding pad, linoleum cutters, wood, plastic and other types of cutters. Purchased the grout cutter for $14.99, but it isn't a good attachment. The diamond comes off pretty quick when working on grout- pretty abrasive stuff.

It is very stable in the air with a mechanical lock every few inches. I never worry it will kill me as long as you don't do anything stupid.Even if it is made in China.

How to Install Harbor Freight Solar Panels Part 1
How to Install Harbor Freight Solar Panels Part 1
This video shows how I used the 45 watt solar panel kits from Harbor Freight and also their single 15 watt solar panels to create a array of 28 panel delivering 420 watts. During the summer and fall in Texas I can count on a solid 8-9 hours of good sunlight so solar power makes sense to augment my wind turbines. Solar panels are easier to install and require less upfront work than wind turbines. In this video I show you the hardware you need and how to assemble and wire the solar panels for quick production.

Cast Iron TIG Welding - Harbor Freight Vise Repair
Cast Iron TIG Welding - Harbor Freight Vise Repair
My trusty Harbor Freight vise (Item #5655) finally broke due to a poor design and use of cast iron instead of steel. The achilles heel is the cast iron end cap. In this video, I attempt a weld repair on the broken cast iron part using stainless filler rod. Partly to avoid throwing it in the landfill, but mostly to see if I could actually pull off a repair. Worst case, I have one more part to weld to my "wall of fail." Harbor Freight now has a new item (#67415) which replaced the model I had, 5655. If you've got the new one, take the end cap off and let me know if they fixed the design! Sorry for the poor audio quality and mumbling. I really should work on speaking louder when I'm not near the camera. Welder: Miller Syncrowave 250

Harbor Freight Tubing Notcher Modifications
Harbor Freight Tubing Notcher Modifications
The inexpensive Harbor Freight Tubing Notcher can be a useful tool for the fabricator that doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a high end tool. This is a perfect alternative for someone who doesn't do enough tubing work to justify the more expensive notchers. With a little time and some simple modification, this tool is perfectly capable of producing top quality notches in most tubing materials.

Harbor Freight US General service cart item # 95272. This is a GREAT toolbox! I use it at work everyday & I highly recommend it! Wait until it's on sale for around $159 & buy it (normal price is $399) you will not be dissapointed. This box is every bit as well built as the Matco box in the video & a quarter of the price! This is one of the BEST items that Harbor Freight sells. Thanks for watching!!!

Homemade gokart (gocart) with Harbor Freight 2.5 hp engine 79cc
Homemade gokart (gocart) with Harbor Freight 2.5 hp engine 79cc
I just finished up with this homemade gokart with a harbor freight 2.5hp engine. We have a small backyard and my boys have never driven one before so I was trying to have it go around lawn mower speed. I'd say it probably goes 10mph when topped out. The governer is removed and it will wind out with me on it to over 4500 rpm (I have a tiny tach). I used a 12 tooth clutch and then took a spare jackshaft sprocket and welded it to a 40 tooth axle gear which is on the jackshaft. Then it goes to a 13 tooth sprocket and then to a 60 tooth. Frame is welded out of 1" tubing from local hardware stores. It was very tricky because of the thin tubing and avoiding blowing through the metal with the welder. This engine is capable of much faster speed with different gearing however my family has a yard with some hills and the boys are cautious about putting the pedal to the metal so the low gearing works fine. It did take me several head scratches to figure out why the engine kept shutting down and then figured out it had a low oil cutoff that was triggered when I was cutting the corners. I actually built two karts in two weeks. First one was a 1.5 feet longer which was great for adults but even with the adjustable seat the boys were having a hard time pushing the gas all the way down. Update: The 60T sproket was swapped for a 40T sprocket on the main axle for additional ground clearance. The current drive is a 12T clutch to a 40T on the jackshaft outputing to a 11T and then to a 40T on ...

Chicago Electric Power Systems Article link: www.driverstorer.com For use with auto, marine, ATV, and other trickle charge applications Don't forget to hit subscribe! DS briefly runs through a series of current and voltage tests on the Harbor Freight 1.5 amorphous watt solar battery charger kit. The harbor freight amorphous solar battery charger kit includes: *One mountable solar panel with hard plastic bezel measuring 14-3/4" L x 6-1/2" W x 7/8" thick *Detachable vehicle adapter with activity LED (12V) *Documentation Formulas used to calculate the wattage from the solar panel: Variables: V=Voltage I=Current R= Resistance W= Watts V=IR (ohms law) (to double check calculations) W=(I^2) R (reads: (watts = current squared * resistance)) Current measured (100 ohm resistor in series) 25 -- 35 mA Output wattage calculated in overcast skies (100 ohm resistor)= W@ 25mA= 0.0625 (62.5mW) W@ 35mA=0.1225 (122.5mW) W@ 120mA= 1.44 Assuming you reach the advertised max current from the solar panel of 120mA you seem to max out at 1.44 watts theoretically. This is close to the 1.5 watt rating of the solar panel, but slightly less. As a vehicle battery trickle charger, the Harbor Freight 1.5 watt amorphous solar panel- solar battery charger kit will work as advertised, however local conditions will always affect the efficiency ...

Written by Boz Scaggs , this version of Harbor Lights is from Fade Into Light - which also contains "unplugged" exceptional versions of Simone & Lowdown. Harbor LIghts originally appears on Silk Degrees. Son of a Tokyo Rose I was bound to wander from home Stranger to whatever I'd awaken to Spun the wheel took a shot in the dark One way ticket and a runaway heart A sailors dream came true The night I dreamed of you Through the neon doorways Down the stony streets I fell All hands high side all eyes a wreck I followed Sailing shadows reds and blues Curtains drawn but I saw through The window to your soul And I found you Oh-oh Oh-oh The harbor lights of Venus Shining through the breeze That brings me back To you my love To you my love To you my love My eyes must be betrayin' But that lonesome jukebox playin' Somethin' 'bout the harbor lights is callin' me Back to some Jamaican bay Doesn't seem so far away Keep the change But I'll repay these memories Dawn came in this morning Like some old junked out melody The words she spoke as we awoke Still haunt me "What you feel too May reveal you Let me steal you for my life" Oh-oh Oh-oh The harbor lights are of Venus Shining through the breeze That brings me back To you my love To you my love To you my love Oh-oh Oh-oh The harbor lights of Venus Shining through the breeze That brings me back To you my love To you my love To you my love ______All lyrics and music are the intellectual property of those listed. Solar Panels - How to build - 45 watt Harbor Freight Kit Review
Un-boxing and assembling the 45 Watt Harbor Freight Solar Panel kit. My Brother and I got this kit for Christmas and set it up on a sunny day in December. Basic assembly out of the box with a little bit of rigging. No tools necessary. Optional tools used: tack welder, vice grips, file, and knife if you have one. Awesome, lots of fun. Works good. We plan on uploading more videos about this project. ------------------------------------------------- THE USE OF ANY COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL IS USED UNDER THE GUIDELINES OF "FAIR USE" IN TITLE 17 & 107 OF THE UNITED STATES CODE.
